Guest guest
The hair loss will stop after a few months. You won't go bald I promise you that. Maybe you may want to back down a bit or pulse dose and take your dose only once a day, in the morning since it does increase energy. After a year of being up to 50mg and detoxing I have backed down to 12.5 one Iodoral pill and my hair is strong, vibrant and only about half of what use to fall out does now. I have hair past my shoulders and long hair can fall out due to using barretts, wrapping the towel around your head like a swami will cause hair loss, pony tails, blow drying and curling, none of which I do rarely anymore. Also trimming the ends every 2 months helps and deep conditioning and a very healthy diet. Since I have gone gluten free, another autoimmune disease I was blessed with, I feel better and notice other benefits. The foods we put into our bodies have a big impact on our health, skin issues, hormones, etc. It is a balancing act.Hang in there . Oh by the way I'm 47. I was going through menopause too but since I have started iodine my periods have come back, the hot flashes are gone and technically women aren't suppose to have such strong symptoms with menopause which proves that our bodies do need iodine to run correctly. from IllinoisFrom: Shepheard <amandashepheard@...>To: iodine Sent: Tue, March 29, 2011 2:07:23 PMSubject: Re: Hair loss, bromide detox, splitting dose up to twice a day I can't tell you about the hair loss but I would take a little of your lugols and dab on any pimples. It is all I use for complexion control now aside from mixing it with some grapeseed oil for larger areas. It really helps! I'm searching for help with hair loss. Every time I shower about 100 strands come out. I am 41. This has been going on for a year.I started iodine one month ago. I slowly worked up to 4 drops of Lugol's a day (two drops in the am, two at midday - is splitting up the dose a good idea?). My hair is still falling out. My dr. wants me to work up to 50 mg/day. He thinks at that dose, after several months, I'll be doing much better, which I assume means that hair loss will stop by then. I was just wondering what people's experiences with this was.I am feeling better than before for sure, more energy. But I also take lots of other supps, and am currently doing weekly rounds for mercury chelation, so it's hard to tell what's what.As I increased my Lugol's dose from 2-3 drops to 4, I got a HUGE pimple on my chin, and I never get pimples. This pimple was so mammoth that it's still with me, although on its way out thank goodness. So I attribute that to bromide detox.Today I might up the dose to 5 drops, making it about 27 mg for the day. I just want to be careful b/c in the past, whether it's the bromide detox or whatever, I can get depressed temporarily when I up the dose. Thanks for any shared experiences on hair coming back! I'm sure it will soon.

Guest guest
Thank you for the replies! I will continue on, and work up to 50 mg. I am about 99.9% gluten-freee as well. You sound like you're doing great ! Thanks for your input. > > The hair loss will stop after a few months. You won't go bald I promise you > that. Guest guest
, This has probably already been answered since I'm way behind on reading posts, BUT....I have had a major problem with hair loss and I believe the one thing that really helped to curb it is the salting and salt loading. Hair loss can be caused by 2 main issues (at least)....lack of iodine and then detox. And perhaps, it's kind of one in the same as maybe the issue is having iodine receptors covered with toxins (bromine, etc) and then when you start the iodine, the toxins start to come off but the absorption is slow so there's a gap of time. This is all based on educated guesswork as I think about it alot but have no clinical basis to go by. My thinking is that since toxic halides 'mimic' iodine, perhaps they keep some symptoms at bay until you start iodine and it can then appear that hypo symptoms get worse, until you start to absorb the iodine, at which time things get better. But in between you're battling deficiency and toxins. > > Hello, I " ve gone through some of the posts here and also the Files. I'm searching for help with hair loss.
