Guest guest
I have used for several years, and am very happy with, a powder called C-Salts that is a mixture of calcium, magnesium, potassium, and zinc ascorbates. A teaspoon mixed in water gives 4 grams of Vit. C plus 14%of Daily Value of each of the minerals. So you can take high levels of C without being excessive on the minerals. I take a lot of C, so it serves as my mineral supplement also. It is also the most economical buffered C I have found. You can read about it here: http://www.nutri.com/index.cfm/page/C_Salts/learn-about-c-salts.cfm?CFID=38570869 & CFTOKEN=14425941Blessings,JudyThey that trust in the LORD shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth for ever. Where do you get it from ? I like calcium ascorbate but it would give me too much calcium in higher dosages of Vitamin C. Bromine is necessary in minute amounts but when it builds to toxic levels and pushes iodine out you get symptoms like "restlessness, weakness, constipation, acne, sores, irritability, loss of balance and confusion. In severe cases, excessive bromine can cause hallucinations, psychosis, stupor and even coma." Bromine also adds a tanginess to the flavor. Bromine is also in pharmaceutical products (Atrovent Inhaler and Nasal Spray, Pro-Banthine (for ulcers), etc. It's also used in commercial pesticide and car upholstery according to Dr. Mercola.
