Guest guest
Hi, I am in desperate need of some advice/direction. 10 years ago,my then 12 year old daughter was diagnosed with a toxic thyroid nodule- symptoms were weight loss, slight tremor, palpitations, nodule. Dr. recommended surgery. I refused even a FNA, hoping and praying that I could find an alternative solution. After trying everything from homeopathy, herbs, energetic medicine and dozens of other modalities, the nodule remains 10 years on and she is very self-conscious about it as it is large and visible. She has long since put her weight back, her periods are 28 days on the dot, her mood is always good, good energy and except for the odd palpitation and the existence of this nodule her health is great. I so want her to be rid of this problem but I'm afraid to let drs. start messing with it. Husband is pressuring me to look into something called Percutaneous Ethanol Injection but I'm reluctant. Do any of you know anything about this? Would the iodine protocol help her? Any direction whatsoever would be most appreciated. I'm at my wits end and worried sick about this. On top of everything, my husband has MS, my 80 year old mother has been unwell for the past three years and I've just gone through an absolutely horrific bout of pre-menopausal women's issues (exacerbated by stress, I'm sure). PS. I read on another board that even some Drs. who advocate iodine therapy, recommend removal of the nodule first. Is this true? Thanks!
