Guest guest
Has anyone else seen TV newscasters and medical experts bungle the iodine information? This morning a TV network's official doctor told the national audience that if you were allergic to seafood then taking iodine to prevent radiation damage would be dangerous. Then they went to Three Mile Island to show how normal the residents look after being radiated 30 years ago. The media is spinning the story. Anybody got a strategy to get better info out there? So will iodine get your thyroid working and then you can stop taking the iodine or will you have to take the iodine for life like you do the synthoid? If they are both for life I don’t see the difference your taking help for your thyroid it just is a matter of what form. My issue is weight gain,no matter what diet i've tried I lose 10 lbs and that's it the scale doesn't budge after that. Is there any supplements that would be helpful or perhaps iodine drops? How many drops a day would a person take? Thanks>
