Guest guest
Hi all, Kira here. Has anyone gone to see the docs at Dr. Brownstein's clinic in Michigan? I made an appointment two years ago when I started iodine and then cancelled because I figured they'd tell me to take iodine. I'm going to Michigan this summer and may make an appointment for a consult, to see if I can get info on the interaction of iodine + my thyroid meds + my Bio-Identical Hormones. You are such a group of literate women I thought I'd ask if you've gone, and if so, did you learn things you didn't already know? Guest guest
Dr Brownstein is not taking patients - not sure that he will be in the near future either. Dr. Ng practices like Dr Brownstein but is not Dr Brownstein. Why do I say this? Because people have gone to him and were disappointed when he didn't do what Dr B does. He is still his own doc and will do things differently. I have heard also that people struggle with him working long distance. He isn't great at returning calls. I do know him and if Dr. B was not around I would go to see him just understand there are a few things that you may not like. It takes about 6 mos to see Dr. Ng. Dr. Nusbaum is the other doctor and he is VERY different and doesn't really use iodine as we do. It's not the first thing he recommends. He works with homeopathy mostly in his practice. Guest guest
Hi Kira, FYI Dr. Brownstein is not taking new patients and first new appointment for Dr. Ng is in September when I called last week. My husband goes to Dr. Ng it took 4 months to get in as a new patient. It takes a few appointments and blood work to really get into the treatments. I had already learned ALOT from this group and read books and watched DVDs by Dr B. It saved us a lot of money as we were ahead of the process. Dr Ng was very helpful is looking at labs and recommending. He is all for detoxing, nutrition, iodine and iodine protocol. If you can find a compounding pharmacy that does natural hormones, iodine or Nature thyroid etc by you they will usually have a list of doctors who are up on this. This is what we did. They carried Lugols, Iodoral and had a list of doctors who took insurance and worked with above natural products. This pharmacist was very knowledgeable on what Dr were holistic, what their specialties were etc. Ann Brownstein's Center For Holistic Medicine Hi all,Kira here. Guest guest
> Hi all, > > Kira here. Has anyone gone to see the docs at Dr. Brownstein's clinic in Michigan? Don't forget Dr. Flechas. His office is where I got the iodine loading kit to test levels and whether or not you need iodine. His lab analyzes your urine sample and then you make an appointment with Dr. Flechas for a phone consult. Just google 'Dr. Flechas iodine' and you'll get a ton of links... some videos, some written by or about him. He's as knowledgeable as Dr. Brownstein regarding iodine, but I don't know what other specialties he may have. Marji
