Guest guest
Hi Patti, Remember the whole body needs iodine, not just our thyroids. I have heard that even if one has had their thyroid removed or killed with RAI, there could still be some thyroid tissue that absorbs iodine. I imagine it depends on the person as we are all different. Since iodine is vital for every part of our body its important for us to make sure our tissues are saturated with it. My sister asked me a question I did not know the answer to.If our thyroids are dead, how can they absorb Iodine?Thank you, thank you!!
