Hello, Group:) I have a high T3 at 37 (11-32). It's been suggested (in my other

group) that I need to be on T3 only. I've just read in our group here that T3

may not be such a good thing. Last week I saw a Naturopath for the 1st time and

she prescribed me Armour 1 grain for 5 weeks, take labs, and see her soon after.

I had been on Levoxyl 125 prior to seeing her from my endo. The ND did not want

me to increase Armour, told me to call if I felt bad during the 5 weeks. I

mentioned to the ND I wanted to try Cytomel, but she said if I were to stay on

T4 she'd give me T3. I am not sure which route to go now:( Anyhow, I recently

read that T3 does not address the issue and I was wondering if anyone here took

T3 with good results? Also, can my elevated T3 go down to normal limits if I

just stay on Armour? My cortisol levels are normal at the low end. I don't

believe I have any liver/gallbladder issues, but I do take Calcium D-Glucarate

for detoxifying. Thank you for all replies:)

Hi JusBreathe,

Actually we are an Iodine Group. It's probably best for you to join the Natural Thyroid Hormone group to ask these questons. Here is the addy NaturalThyroidHormones/. If you have any questions about iodine, this is the place for that. good luck to you. Kathleen

Hi, Kathleen. Sorry, I should have added that I took the Hakala bromide test and

I'm toxic and interested in starting iodine this Friday. I've been on the

pre-Iodoral supplements almost 2 weeks now- this Friday makes 2 weeks. I wanted

to start taking Iodoral 50mg this Friday. Now, I'm confused as to whether I

should just stay on the Armour 1 grain and start Iodoral, or stop Armour, no

iodine, and take Cytomel only to clear RT3. My other group advises to go with

the Cytomel. I thought Cytomel was the only way to clear hight T3. I just wanted

to get another opinion:) Thank you.
