Guest guest
Could I please get a few of you folks that are more knowledgeable than me to comment on this please? I've been taking my basal temp more often, and today, I don't know what happened, but my temp has not gotten over 95.7 degrees all day, and I've felt cold, but I'm also tired, because I was up until 4am the other night. I know I've got to get control of that one! We ate lunch late, I was starving, and not feeling right. Still 95.3 degrees. I also took my Intramax vitamins, and now I'm 97.9 degrees, and feeling great. I've had a few days like this, since I posted last. My questions right now are: 1. I'm getting my mercury teeth out the first week of February. Should I just wait to get my thyroid tested w/free T3 and T4 until after this, and I've done a heavy metal cleanse, or does it matter? 2. I'm going to do the iodine load test, instead of the iodine patch. When should I get this done pertaining to my first question, and does it matter when? Thanks for your help! I feel like I'm covering all the bases, but still stabbing in the dark. I just wished insurance would cover seeing a naturopathic physician that also incorporates conventional medicine. My regular doctor is insisting I simply start Synthroid at 25mg, which he calls a low dose, and re-access in a couple of months. I'm not into the take these tablets and call me in a couple of months thing, but at least he does want to see how my thyroid free T's will come out. I just don't know if it will figure into his decision to medicate, when I think my body is simply going through some detoxing/changes with all I've described below. Thanks again! Guest guest
Check www.drrind.com - it is not unusual to have temps fluctuate throughout the day when there are thyroid and / or adrenal issues. Probably a good idea to wait for testing until you remove the amalgams and let your body settle down a bit. I would probably do the iodine test in a few weeks too. Many do not do well on synthetic thyroid medications like Synthroid. There are natural options like Nature-throid. Steph Re: High TSH Please Advise! Please Comment! Guest guest
Steph, yes I've actually used Dr. Rinds temp charts, to measure improving my adrenal issues a few years ago, which worked. Did you mean do the iodine test in a few weeks from now, or after I get the mercury teeth removed? Any other thoughts on why my TSH was 19.3 as I described below?
