Guest guest
Again, Dorie, one sleepless night is not a sign to lower your thyroid dose. Many people cannot take their iodine later in the day because it gives them energy that keeps them awake. Once you get used to this new level of energy, you may find that you can sleep well again even taking iodine later in the day. First try taking the iodine in the morning all at once. The reason to avoid lowering your thyroid meds is that it sounds to me like your body is finally coming out of its slumber and lowering the meds would retrigger the slumber. Unless you have other hypEr signs than one sleepless night. I myself eagerly stopped my thyroid meds when I had a couple of high energy days after I'd started the iodine, but that was a mistake. It only set me back. wishing you a happy new year, -- At 10:12 AM 12/31/2010, you wrote: >When I started the iodoral I was up to 8 60 mg of erfa, I was told I had >bad RT3 from the Nat. thryoid group, so slowly over 4 months I zitratrated >down to the 5 erfa that I am on right now. > >I will stop the erfa and cytomel for a few days if that is what you advise >and then what dose do you think I should restart the erfa at? Guest guest
Oh , thank you so so much for responding to me email. I will take your advice and take all 4 iodoral in the AM. And I will stay with the erfa and cytomel. You dont' think I should cut the erfa back to 4 from 5? Since I was told I had Rt3 of 12 once and 15 another time. Thank you again and I wish you and your family a happy and healthy new years! Maybe just maybe after 10 years of suffering maybe the iodoral will help me get back to a normal human being instead of a home bound prisoner. > > Again, Dorie, one sleepless night is not a sign to lower your thyroid > dose.
