Was wondering if anyone has treated sinus infections with Lugol's. I actually started learning more about this iodine business when my GP prescribed SSKI as an aid in getting rid of a sinus infection. He also put me on antibiotics which, between the two, I saw a pretty good result. However when the antibiotic wore off it started to come back. I have had chronic sinus infections for years. There are other health issues I am dealing with as well, which I won't go into here, but I was wondering about the above and/or if anyone has used Lugol's solution in diluted form in a nettie pot for sinus irrigation with any luck?

Sinus infections are generally bacterial or fungal and Lugol's added to a netti

pot or saline nasal spray would be very helpful.

Consider these statements:

Dr. Mark Sircus: " Though it kills 90 percent of bacteria on the skin within 90

seconds its use as an antibiotic has been ignored. Iodine exhibits activity

against bacteria, molds, yeasts, protozoa, and many viruses; indeed, of all

One could theorize that when cellular saturation of iodine is achieved then the

body as a whole would be an inhospitable environment to these pathogens on an

ongoing basis.

I just dip a Q-tip directly in the H2O2 and gently swab just inside each nostril. It even gets rid of ear infections that way for me.

I think this is my first post and I'm in awe at all of the posts - I have so much to learn! I hope to start the protocol soon. The last time I just put one single drop of iodine daily on my inner forearm for a few days I started getting flushes so I stopped. I hope to post a question soon... and get going.

I also struggle with my ears getting congested. I suppose that is all

linked. I found your message a bit hard to follow - not quite for a

lay person like myself - care to translate?

I think it is mold and mildew that I react to most. I am here in

Colorado (versus Santa Cruz California where I reside) at the moment

and it is so dry here that a lot of my symptoms are relieved.

I have had terrible sinus problems for many years now. I finally beat it by

upping my iodine dosage between 100 -160mg.

I also have applied Iosol iodine topically. Despite its unpopularity it, I have

found Iosol to be quite reliable for topical use. I keep trying to pick my

nose, from habit, and am disappointed.

Where did you apply the Iosol iodine topically for sinus infection???????? I to have had chronic sinus infection and would love some relief!!!!!!! Thanks!

I have had terrible sinus problems for many years now. I finally beat it by upping my iodine dosage between 100 -160mg.

I also have applied Iosol iodine topically. Despite its unpopularity it, I have found Iosol to be quite reliable for topical use. I keep trying to pick my nose, from habit, and am disappointed.

I’m getting one too and I am worried. I

perform (singing) all week and need to feel good! My whole family has been

sick with this the last week – almost like a flu/upper respitory infection.

This is definitely the start of a sinus infection though that I am getting.

Someone has already mentioned using H202. I use this, when I feel like I'm coming down with something. IE: sore throat etc., a couple of drops in the ears, usually just one side will knock out any germs, one time.. A good preventive measure if subjected to germs..

I'm sure you might need to use more then once, if an infection is present as the previous poster stated.

I’m getting one too and I am worried. I perform (singing) all week and need to feel good! My whole family has been sick with this the last week – almost like a flu/upper respitory infection. This is definitely the start of a sinus infection though that I am getting.

I have had terrible sinus problems for many years now. I finally beat it by upping my iodine dosage between 100 -160mg.I also have applied Iosol iodine topically. Despite its unpopularity it, I have found Iosol to be quite reliable for topical use. I keep trying to pick my nose, from habit, and am disappointed. Get yourself a neti pot! A drop of iodine in the pot might help, but don't get carried away, as too much could sting. And take LOTS of vitamin C -- preferably liposomal. Sambucol helps with viral issues, & so does LDM-100.AnneOn Apr 18, 2011, at 6:46 PM, Lori@... wrote:

Hi Anne,

I’ve been taking Lots of Vitamin C and

using elderberry liquid. I will try the drop of iodine in the neti pot. I

just started using it yesterday and already I’m feeling a lot of relief!

Hello,

I would just like to add what I tried for a sinus infection. Sorry if a little

off topic but I'll keep it short. I took 1 TBLS of a greens super food powder

everyday and 1 TBLS of colloidal silver twice a day. I was also already on the

iodine protocol but after doing the above for 10 days my head drained for 24

hours. Also eat only whole foods. Once your body receives nec nutrients and has

easy foods to digest and process it can tend to the areas needing maintenance.

When it gets overloaded with toxins it has to sometimes pack them away to deal

with later, like in your sinuses, liver etc. Give your system a break and

supply it with what it may be missing nutrient wise and it can do some serious

housecleaning.

Thank you Linn! It's probably too late for me to order it for this week's performances, but I am going to check into using that for the future! I have this awful dripping down the back of my throat right now. I hope it goes away soon! I start singing tomorrow evening and have 7 performances - I hope my throat holds up - especially with all the high notes in Hallelujah chorus!!

My uncle used to put a towel over his shoulders and gradually accept the boiling water steam into his sinuses. I used to do this method before I went off sugar to end sinus fungus. I was on 8-9 antibiotics one year for sinus pressure and pain that was severe enough they did a MRI and sent me to his specialist. None of that helped....but it is all gone these days. I think it is another thing iodine cleared up for me. Pam
