Please forgive me but I staye4d away from you like the plague, because another

group said that thyroid disease patients should stay away from iodine and soy so

I nevver read anything. Now I finallt got a new endo who is awesome and finally

testing and treating me properly. She mentions this week about iodine, that I

should take a kelp everyday, she said one not 2 or more as that is not good. So

I am very confused. I am going food shopping and wanted to pick some kelp up but

I dont know what to get,. If anyone can educate me on all the ignorance I have

regarding ioding I would so be thankful.

Please read the New Member doc. you were sent when you joined. If you didn’t save it, go to the home page, then FILES then New Member doc. and Commonly Asked Questions. Read these pages and your questions will be answered. Most kelp is contaminated with arsenic and other heavy metals; Lugol's solution and Iodoral in tablets form are better choices. Again, read those documents and you will learn what you need to know about iodine and the necessary companion nutrients. Best, Kathleen

This list does not advocate kelp, because it is so often contaminated, & the level of iodine we recommend will be high enough to blow your doctor's mind, if she is telling you to take only one kelp tablet. Nobody here thinks that is enough iodine to do ANYTHING. Do you think she would read Brownstein's book?AnneOn Apr 7, 2011, at 9:35 PM, jpmyra wrote:
