Hi,

I am new to this group... My name is Lora and I'm 39. I just had an ovary

removed due to a cyst that was causing me great pain. The doctor said it was the

kind that would not go away, that it would only grow. I also was having

excrutiating back pain and muscle spasms. It felt like when you get a cold or

flu and it settles in the muscles of your back. My other symptoms are fatigue,

brain fog and my hair is falling out and getting thinner.

I had my vitamin D levels tested and they were at 16...so I have been

supplementing that and just had my levels retested but don't have the results

back yet. I have been supplementing with fish oil, probitics, vit D, Garden of

Life multi vit and digestive enzymes.

I found out about iodine and started supplementing that about 3 weeks ago. I

have a friend that is an ND that is also a pharmacist that formulates iodine to

exact Lugol standards. I took 12.5 mg daily for about 2 weeks. I felt so much

better within a few days. The spasms in my back got 80% better. I did have some

detox symptoms but nothing intolerable. Then I upped the dosage to 25 mg and was

doing okay but noticed my heart would feel funny after I took the iodine. Now

for the past 3 days these heart palpitations have gotten really bad and it is

scaring me! I don't know if they are heart palpitations or an arrythmia or

what. It feels like my heart skips a beat and is doing some other weird things.

It is happening a lot...I had a hard time sleeping and it is making me nervous

as it is not going away. I didn't take iodine yesterday or today and it is still

happening. I am not sure if the iodine is causing it or not. Any

ideas/suggestions?

Thanks so much!
