iodine and a bleachy odor in nose

i was wondering if anyone gets a sharp, bleachy smell in their nostrils when using iodine. i use a low dose but have noticed this odor. i thought someone cleaned with bleach. it is kind of that sharp smell like when you are getting a cold. anyway, i am curious. not particularly in love with bleach. now lavender on the other hand...... diane, near philly, pa
