Lugol's and sinus infections

Was wondering if anyone has treated sinus infections with Lugol's. I actually started learning more about this iodine business when my GP prescribed SSKI as an aid in getting rid of a sinus infection. He also put me on antibiotics which, between the two, I saw a pretty good result. However when the antibiotic wore off it started to come back. I have had chronic sinus infections for years. There are other health issues I am dealing with as well, which I won't go into here, but I was wondering about the above and/or if anyone has used Lugol's solution in diluted form in a nettie pot for sinus irrigation with any luck?
