Guest guest
Just a note of caution when buying from seller on ebay... They might list that they have the item (like iodide crystals, or iodine tablets) available, and even take a payment. But then they don't respond to you if you have questions about shipping. Sometimes they even send you a note, outside of ebay's message system, telling you they ran out of potassium iodide, and then offer another so-called replacement that has very weak potency (not even close to what you need). I purchased some product from one guy who appeared to have a very good reputation. When I initially purchased from him, the listing said he had over 250 pieces of the product available. After I finished the purchase, it still said he had well over 250 pieces of the product. A few hours later, the number of pieces was still well above 200, so although it was selling, it was not " flying off the shelf " quite yet. So I definitely should have had dibs on the product he did have. Apparently, though, he did not actually have 250 pieces of anything. 3 days later, I get an email saying " our supplier ran out, and here's a possible replacement product " . So, basically, this seller was saying they had hundreds of the product available, but he actually did not have it in his possession. He was relying on his supplier to have it and send it to him so he could forward it to ebay purchasers. In other words, the " Quantity available " count that you see on so many ebay listings might be fake. This appears to be the case with two prominent ebay sellers of iodine products. I don't even mind that they ran out, more than that they won't even respond to you after you've made a good faith attempt to purchase or at least place a valid order. -Ken
