Guest guest
It is quite common to have early puberty in African American communities. Many have intolerance to milk products and if they were not breast fed they were probably given soy. This sets them up at an early age for early puberty. Yes they need to check the thyroid levels with TSH, Free T3, and Free T4 levels and if possible I would also add the antibodies - TPO Ab, Tg Ab to check for autoimmune thyroid disease. This shows up in puberty so since she is entering early puberty then it would be important. Omega 3 fatty acids from fish oils can help regulate hormones, a clean diet full for fruits and veggies too. If she is consuming dairy it should be organic to avoid the growth hormones that are added. You can also use things like DIM or Ca-D Glucorate to clear overloads in estrogens. Buist, ND Precocious puberty and Iodine Hi Everybody,A friend of mine has just told me that her little 6 year old girl has just been diagnosed with Precocious Puberty.
