How Long Does TSH Stay Elevated?

Hi,

I was wondering how long TSH tends to stay elevated after starting iodine? My

husband has been taking 40-50 mg every day for 8 months and just got back a TSH

of 7.5. Before starting iodine his TSH was 2.0. He's getting a full thyroid

panel done so we'll get a better picture of what's going on in a few weeks. I

just want to be prepared to explain to the doctor if his T3 and T4 are fine. I

tried searching for the answer, but key word " TSH " brings up a lot of messages.
