Guest guest
Hello to all my cyberfriends! I am on the board of our local PTA and I am starting a subcommittee for special needs. Even though I am in a great school system that provides wonderful services at school, I cannot get those "luxuries" (as my insurance co likes to refer to them as) of services outside of school unless I pay out of pocket. SO......I'm using my position on the board to get this started to use the great resources we have and the money. Anyway......I'm putting together some goals and would love input from all of you. Here is what I am thinking of so far: > * scholarships for therapies, classes, workshops, etc. not covered by insurance (ex: social skills, music therapy, etc.) > * info on events (like the ones that are passed on thru out groups) that are available - make sure the word gets out (post at schools, email lists, etc.) > * integrated playgroups > * peer buddy programs > * aide support for children w/special needs that may want to attend Daisy Scouts or an HCER class, for example Thank you in advance for any input!
