Guest guest
Honestly, I did not mean for this to be posted. I wanted to ask privatly. So I am a little embarrased, lol. However I feel much better now. I did not know if it was ok to repeat a question or not. I will repost all of mine then. I know what busy is, as I have nine children. They are all adults now and teens, but none the less, someone always needs me or needs something. My two youngest have special needs and are alot of work. That is of course, why I want to get well so bad. I am alot better since I started Iodine, but I also raised my antidepressant at the same time, so I don't know which is helping. I don't want to take antidepressants, but until I am better, I am not able to get off them. I do think the iodine is helping though. So I really want to learn more about this. I will send my questions back through. I appreciate you all very much. Terry > > I haven't been around too much either. My life has been nuts. Guest guest
Terry have you had your thyroid levels checked? Depression can be tied to low thyroid and also low adrenals. Low thyroid can trigger adrenal fatigue. So it can be a combo of the two. You can try taking your basal body temps and see if they are 97.8 or higher. If lower then you can suspect low thyroid. www.drrind.com has temp charting to help you determine thyroid, adrenal or both as an issue. Guest guest
Terry,Have you read about low dose naltrexone? You may benefit from this low cost drug. It helps with all autoimmune disease and depression plus a host of other problems we tend to suffer from. There is a group for this drug that is very supportive.Another things that helps is to go gluten, soy and dairy free.Good luck to you. Guest guest
Oh yes , I have low adrenals and thyroid. I am on 60mgs of Westhroid, but I have RT3 at ratio of 16. My iron is still a little low too. I posted all this in my other question post. I was on 30 mgs of HC, but I was gaining alot of weight, so now I am on about 7mgs. I am on tons of vites and aptogens and about to test my hormones. All the questions about that are in my question post too. I need for my RT3 to clear and I tried T3 and it about killed me with anxiety in just three days. So I am hoping iodine helps my thyroid. I need it. Ten years in bed. Now I can stay out mostly, but it is a real battle and I still am not able to do much during the day. Thanks, Terry ps, I was on the adrenal group for almost a year, and on HC for over a year so I have been working on this and researching for a long time. It is a slow fix. > > > > I haven't been around too much either. My life has been nuts. I just pick off the quick to answer questions and then run out the door. Guest guest
Terry,I second these suggestions from and but also get D3 checked as often low D3 will lead to depression also. Ldn is very helpful to the body and to sleep which helps your body to recover and heal. I was in lowest 1% at 13, 4 years ago. I was depressed but was avoiding medicating it as already had 9 diseases to cope with and tend to get more side effects than benefits from RX. My GP gave me choice of 10,000 D3 daily with a meal or 50,000 shot once a week. I did the supplements but it took 4 years to get to 60. My GP wants me to stay between 60-80 in the blood test as that prevents 8-9 types of cancer and MS and possibly RA and decreases pain. I already have the RA but iodine and minocin seem to keep it from doing harm anymore. Guest guest
, I look at the bottom of my questions for all the answers that are listed. You are correct. So I am breaking it up and sending them through as single questions. Thanks for all that you do. I appreciate it. Terry > > > > > > I haven't been around too much either. My life has been nuts. Guest guest
Thanks, Terry. Guest guest
Magnesium will get you to the place of stopping anti depressants. But you have to take high enough doses 600+mg/day. > > > > I haven't been around too much either. My life has been nuts. I just pick off the quick to answer questions and then run out the door.
