Guest guest
Hi, I have been telling my daughter about the iodine, since she had bad PPDepression after her baby. She said she would look in the pharmacy for some iodine. Is there any difference between the type in the stores and the two types recommended here? ******************************************* I am up to 50mgs of the lugols drops and have been at that dose for a month. I feel fine, nothing better I don't think, but no problems. (actually I have been on the iodine for more then two months, but slowly raised it.) I have been reducing my HC as it causes me to gain weight. I was at 30mgs and am down to 10mgs now. I don't feel any difference yet off that either. Is there any way to tell that iodine is helping? What should I expect as time goes on? ******************************************* I am getting blood tests for my hormone levels. The doctor gave me every hormone except pregnalone. I called and asked why and they stated that he did not want that one tested. Well I am seeing him this week for other stuff. What can I tell him to convince him that I need pregnalone tests too? He is testing DHEA. ******************************************* I am on Westhroid at 60mgs. I have bad RT3 ratio of about 16. However it was 14 and I took iron for a while, but upon suggestions here, I stopped the iron. My iron did come up some and my RT3 came up to 16. I have not been able to raise my westhroid, as it gives me anxiety at a higher level. So I am thinking of getting off it completely to see if the iodine can sustain my thyroid. Westhroid is like Armour. So I am on one grain I think. Someone once stated that at this low dose it might be just suppressing my thyroid and keeping me low. So I am not sure what else to do. I would love to hear people's suggestions about this and it iodine alone can sustain my thyroid? ******************************************* I take all the aptogens with my iodine, Selenium, magnesium, vitamin C, D3, and Energy infusion from End fatigue .com When I take my iodine, I take it in whole natural vinegar and water, because I can't drink juice because of my blood sugar. My diet is high protein, frequent, veggies, eggs and one fruit a day. I am on Celexa 40mgs, hydrocortisone 10mgs and Westhroid 60mgs. I still experience some depression and this is what makes me feel my thyroid is still low. My labs Free T3 2.9 Reference 2.3-4.2 (done in December and doctor feels this is normal, so he won't retake it. Taken a month ago: Iron 73 Range 37-145 RT3 186 Ref. 90 -350 Ferritin 152 Ref. 11-336 T uptake (what is that?) 42 Ref. 32-48 TSH 0.15 Free T4 0.9 Ref. 0.6-1.6 Thank you to anyone who can answer my questions. Blessings, Terry Quinn (mom of nine who just wants to feel better. ******************************************* When taking seasalt for detox, do you also add potasium? I just wondered if the seasalt ever lowered anyone's potasium levels, since the two work together in the body. Thanks, Terry *******************************************
