Guest guest
I understand it is not uncommon to experience an energy surge after taking a dose of iodine, and I indeed experience an obvious increased body temp if I take my Iodoral on an empty stomach. The warmth is quite welcomed since I have low body temp almost all the time. Anyway, my primary question is WHY does the iodine cause this surge? A secondary question is why doesn't the iodine provide a more long term increase in body temp? I am looking for the biochemistry answer, even with the ugly and often unintelligible stuff. Please provide any links to explanations you have found. If I missed the answer in the group docs, I apologize and hope you will point out the information. Thanks! Guest guest
Your body is readjusting your hormones and over time you may warm up. I am back to normal temperatures after having ice cold hands and feet and 95-97 temps. thyroid meds didn't make much difference for my temps but adding iodine has after a few months at 50 mgs and companion nutrients. After 4 years, I didn't worry about missing a few days of iodine but did pack it on the trip as gave so much to family to use. Ended up with infection in tooth root that flamed up. Taking the iodine has settled the infection back down again. It was harsh pain on one side of face for several days. I realized that my typical dose was needed again so went to twice a day to fight off the infection which allowed me to stay at the beach for our vacation. The xray today only showed a small area and no symptoms now. So will watch and wait for now.
