Thanks for sharing this Joan. I am on day three of the homeopathic remedies for the lyme and several other co-infections incuding a fungal situation and HPV. I am an acupuncturist and have a colleague who has worked with lyme patients for the last 10 years. He'll be guiding me to some herbs that bind the toxins so they are sure to be released. He finds that about 25% of people are not able to detox and the lyme keeps circulating around making them worse and worse.

Sounds like you are working with some excellent healers. I'm very fortunate to have around me some very wonderful ones of many modalities including a BodyTalk practitioner, medical intuitive and vibrational light therapists : ) Lucky for me!

I thought iodine might be great in this situation AND I'm concerned about starting to take it because of the detoxing from bromine. I've not taken any iodine before. I have Hashi's and you may know that some are convinced it's great for autoimmune thyroid and others swear it's not! My lyme doctor believes that the hashi's was caused by the lyme. My acupuncturist colleague has told me that he's had patients present with diagnoses of MS and other autoimmune disease that, once the lyme cleared, so did the autoimmune situation.

I've been told that part of the homeopathic journey will probably take me to where I feel worse before I feel better. With that in mind and after having a HORRIFIC headache and nausea all day yesterday, I'm very hesitant to get into the iodine and have yet another detoxing "crisis" to deal with.

Perhaps I can wait until the homeopathic healing crisis is over. I'd love to know what others think about this.

Janet,I have lyme and taking at least 100mg of iodine a day has helped me more than anything else. An acupuncturist/ND recently gave me Chinese herbs and homeopathic drops for lyme and I have been able to cut my iodine way down. I'm now getting NeuroModulation Technique treatments and BodyTalk, both energy medicine modalities and I think they are going to get me on track. I use Terri Dodge for the NMT.At one point, I upped my dosage to 160mg a day to whip my gum disease/parasites into shape but now I'm on 50mg a day.I can't believe that they suggest taking antibiotics when iodine is the natural killer of viruses and it supports the immune system. Antibiotics ruins the immune system.I found a true story a daughter wrote about her dad who had lyme. He lived to the ripe old age of 90 because iodine was a common part of his everyday life.Something else to consider is to find all of your interference fields (Klinghardt). Lyme loves to live in blockages and most of us have plenty of them. Lyme isn't a walk in the park but its even worse without iodine.Joan>> > Interesting . Thanks for sharing your situation.
