I would be interested on the Dec 13th party too....will Dr Rumbaut actually

be there himself? I can't do anything after the 13th because we are flying

to England for Christmas on the 14th :)

Bonnie:

This is Ginny Ivanoff. I am on eof the other party planners. This

is our third annual MGB Christmas Party. We have a buffet and there

might be seafood available. Last year we had shrimp. It is very

hard to cater to all. Last year we had over 250 people attend.

Since it is a buffet, I trust that you will easily be able to avoid

anything that you are allergice to and there is usually ample

ventilation in such a large room as to dissipate the smell. (I

understand as I have some food allergies myself). The menu hasn't

been finalized yet but thank you for letting us know your allergy.

I've been planning on going however I am not certain. I have my

panniculectomy and thigh lift on Dec 5 so I am uncertain if 9 days

later I will be up for a party!! Dr Don said if I felt like it and

if I only stayed for an hour. Guess the party, at the party, would

have to be in my room where I could lie down!!! Haha...

My mind and heart are willing, just have to see if the body is

willing!!!

paintsuit?? I really wanna be there ... I had so much fun last

year.... And, it's time you and I finally got to meet isn't it???

Perhaps I'll be there with drains on, ooops, I mean bells on, LOL ....

The pant suit is sort of a " taupe " /gold...... three pieces - pants,

sleeveless top and " jacket " . It is a petite but the pants were " plenty "

long on me.

And we definitely need to meet!

Oh !!!

I count on you for the pictures!! What bad luck that your camera

quit on you.

Can you give us any more details on the party? How many attended?

What kind of food? I am in Joplin with my friend who had her MGB

Friday and would love to hear some details of the party.

Let me say this.... Clinic was really good! lots of good

information and afterwards, i had about a dozen pre-ops asking me for

email addy and asking questions. They seemed anxious to " do

it " ...we ALL know how that is!! 2 people told me they were just

SURE it was too good to be true because they never heard anything

but " perfect " experiences and " perfect " outcomes, but now they see

that it is done on REAL people! people with different bodies and

different results and different experiences--all of the people i

spoke to said they felt convinced the MGB was their " Best Bet " , as

one guy put it. another man said he was relieved the post ops seemed

so " normal " (us?)lol. they all seemed to appreciate the human face

that the post ops put on this surgery. one lady told me she was

dumbfounded that patients would drive hundreds of miles just to speak

with strangers and endorse a surgery they had 2,3,even 4 years ago!

I told her we believe in what we say and in our decision. The MGB

stands on it's own in my book.... i tell them the truth - that it was

a blessing for me and everyone who loves me! Dr R has the best bunch

of patients in the world!! he is a talented surgeon and has survived

a lot- maybe he is being rewarded by being surrounded by nice folks!

the staff was wonderful -- ALL of them! dr don was a real nice

guy ...and the mgbers??? they were fantastic! a great bunch of

party animals for sure! a good time was had by all and i would like

to thank Dr Rutledge and his staff for the marvelous clinic, party

and arrangements. thank you again and again!!

xoxoxoxo

I know Margaret! I count on myself for pictures. I couldn't believe

Sony let me down.

> Can you give us any more details on the party?

Sure.

How many attended?

I'd say there were about 70 or so at the clinic and the party. Maybe

more. I didn't do a physical head-count and this is just a guess.

It was a nice size gathering.

> What kind of food?

There were some finger foods at both events with heated hordoruves

(sp) at night. Cheese/cracker platters, veggie platters with dip,

fruit/melon platters, cookies, snack stuff like Chex mix and

beverages. At night there was shrimp on ice, chicken tenders fried

and baked, barbeque meatballs, cucumber slices with cream cheese

stuff, more of the platters, quiche, a cash bar, several desserts...

I know I've missed something, but you get the general picture.

The format was similar as the other MGB events, Dr. R spoke, Dr. Don

did a fairly comprehensive thing in the morning and he also did

consultations for those who wanted one-on-one meetings with him.

Nearly all of the office staff were there. Everyone looked

beautiful. It's always exciting to see the weight loss and people

just beaming and blossoming.

I look forward to the Cookout and I hope my camera is fixed by

then... pray for me please.

It was just the battery! Thank God that's all it was. Apparently

the Sony batteries can go bad and not hold full power. Before I lost

power I did capture 41 pictures. I also have some photos from

Statesville. I'll post them and let you know the site once I've

posted the pictures.

It was my understanding that now that there are multiple CLOS offices

the parties would be rotated around the country.
