Why help?

In just a little over a year, the National Autism Association Northeast Ohio (NAA-NEO) has awarded 65 families residing in Northeast Ohio dealing with the high cost of autism treatments through its Helping Hand Grant Program. NAA-NEO has given $36,000 directly to these families. The goal of the August 1 benefit is to raise funds for (NAA-NEO) 2009 Helping Hand Grant Program. This program funds autism treatments, respite, and programs for Northeast Ohio families struggling with autism.

Parent Testimonials"I just wanted to thank you for the scholarship for my daughter. You all are a blessing in disguise! I dont know what families like ours would do without the generosity of others who either have a child with autism, or who is just sympathetic of our situations." -Parent from Cleveland, Ohio

"Your generousity is truly appreciated by our family and will be a temendous help this year." -Parent from Summit County, Ohio

"What a huge relief to be able to do the HBOT treatments – an 'extra' [treatment][…] that brings such promising hopes. Thank you all for your personal efforts to help families cope with and reverse the daunting symptoms of autism. Without your financial help, I am not sure we would be able to do these extra treatments..."

-Family from Seven Hills, Ohio

"The money granted by NAA-NEO is going to be put towards our daughter's speech therapy expenses. Unfortunately our insurance does not cover this cost and we pay our of pocket.”

-Family from Fairview Park, Ohio
