Once you have had a moment to review this information, let me know if you are interested in (1) Helping a specific committee leading up to the day of the Walk and/or (2) Interested in volunteering the day of the Walk itself About Walk Now for Autism: Autism Speaks' Walk Now for Autism, the nation's largest grassroots autism walk program, is our signature fundraising and awareness event, taking place in communities across the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom. Over $26 million was raised in 2007! Powered by volunteers and families with loved ones on the autism spectrum, this successful grassroots fundraising effort not only generates vital funds for autism research but also raises awareness about the increasing prevalence of autism and the need to accelerate research funding to combat this complex disorder. About Autism Speaks: At Autism Speaks, our goal is to change the future for all who struggle with autism spectrum disorders. We are dedicated to funding global biomedical research into the caused, prevention, treatments, and cure for autism; to raising public awareness about autism and its effects on individuals, families, and society; and to bringing hope to all how deal with the hardships of this disorder. Organize your own Walk Team fundraisers Ideas: team competitions, corn hole tournaments, car wash, candy fundraisers Seek individual donations for you and/or your team Interested in volunteering? "Committee Descriptions" - Please review if you are interested in joining a specific planning committee and can help leading up to the day of the Walk.
