Guest guest
Hi , A parent mentor organization of three East side districts is organizing the event. I can email you the contact person's name....so they can perhaps get something/someone on the West side going as well. I am going to try to gather all brochures/fliers available and try to post them, one at a time, so you all can benefit. Sorry you can't come...it's not *that* far, it's right off 271 and Harvard I think? Take care, "If you want to know.. Ask!" <mystique2574@...> wrote: ,Do you know who is sponsering/organizing this Resource Fair? Guest guest
Thanks ! And no it's not *that* far.. but for us to drive out Tim would have to leave work early so he could watch the kids then I'd be hitting rush hour traffic the entire way out... and at $80 for a tank of gas.. I have to treat it like it's golden! Guest guest
I can't believe I'm just now seeing this! We came back from our evaluation for suspected pdd-nos on April 10 and had no idea about the fair or about the ABA training April 10-11. Was there by chance a general resource guide from the fair that I could obtain and copy from someone? I'm new by the way, just joined up, my son is 17 months so this is all quite new to us. > , > > Do you know who is sponsering/organizing this Resource Fair? Guest guest
Would there happen to be a print copy of a resource guide from this fair? Sorry if this is a double-post, I posted yesterday and I'm not seeing it. --- In , Pattison <egerpatt@...> wrote: > > > > REMINDER > > PARENTING CHILDREN WITH DISABILITIES > > WHO CAN FAMILIES TURN TO FOR HELP? > > > A FREE RESOURCE FAIR > > linking families > with > service providers > > > Thursday evening, April 10th, 6 to 9 PM > at > CORPORATE COLLEGE EAST > 4400 RICHMOND ROAD, WARRENSVILLE HEIGHTS > > Breakout Sessions: > 6:30 PM: Choosing Childcare for Children with Special Needs > 7:15 PM: Special Needs Estate Planning > 8:00 PM: Assistive Technology > > Light refreshments, craft table for children, free agency directory for first 100 families > > > > Partial list of Participating Agencies > > > Achievement Centers for Children All Reading Children (multisensory tutoring on a sliding- > fee scale) > Applewood Centers (Behavioral healthcare services) > Assistive Technology of Ohio Bellefaire JCB (Behavioral healthcare services) > BSVI: Ohio Rehabilitation Services Commission Bureau of Services for the Visually Impaired > Bureau of Children with Medical Handicaps Catholic Charities Disabilities Services > CMR: Center for Mental Retardation –The ARC of > Cuyahoga County > CEVEC: Cuyahoga East Vocational Education > Consortium > Cleveland Sight Center CCBMRDD: Cuyahoga County Board of Mental > Retardation and Developmental Disabilities > Cuyahoga County Community Mental Health > Board > Cuyahoga Tapestry System of Care (Network of > neighborhood services & supports) > The Dancing Wheels Company and School (Integrated > modern dance for stand-up & sit-down dancers) > Epilepsy Association Fragile X Alliance of Ohio Hanna Perkins School/Center (Comprehensive child > development facility) > Hattie Larlham Center for Children with Disabilities > Help Me Grow (Extensive services from birth to 3) > Insight Learning and Wellness LLC LDA: Learning Disabilities Association of Cuyahoga > County > Learning RX -- Tutoring services > Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped (includes dyslexia) > 32o Masonic Learning Center (Free multisensory > tutoring) > Mayfield Adaptive Recreation Program Met Desk (Met Life's Division of Estate Planning for > Special Kids) > Milestones Organization (Helping autism community) > Monarch Services for Children and Adolescents with > Autism > NAMI Greater Cleveland: National Alliance on Mental > Illness > North East Ohio Parent Mentors (Free support to guide > families through the special education process) > North Coast Community Homes (Group home options > for adults) > OCALI: Ohio Center for Autism & Low Incidence OCECD: Ohio Coalition for the Education of Children > with Disabilities (Parent training & advocacy center) > ODDC (Ohio Developmental Disabilities Council) > Center for Public Policy at LEAP (Linking > employment, abilities & potential) > Phase VI Driving School (for persons with disabilities) > Recording for the Blind and Dyslexic (books on tape) > Rose- Center (Residential treatment center > providing educational & therapeutic services) > Services for Independent Living Inc. > Solon Blue Ribbon Adapted Recreation Program Special Education Services (Low-cost legal services & > parent training center) > Starting Point (Options for childcare) > State Support Team 3 (formerly Cuyahoga Special > Education Service Center) > Stepping Stones Mental Health Educational Consulting > Tools for Today and Tomorrow (Services and support for > families with children needing medical treatment) > United Cerebral Palsy WAGS 4 Kids (Working Animals Giving Service) > Western Reserve Speech and Language Partners > Working Mind (Softwar interventions for > students with ADD) >
Guest guest
I have a booklet from a friend who went. It will take me a few days to scan this document in so I suppose I will email the organizers first if they would be able to make their originals available to the group, already typed and all. If this won't work, I will have it posted by mid week. Thanks! speedingkiwi <devorahhoffman@...> wrote: Would there happen to be a print copy of a resource guide from this fair?
