are you speaking of Family Resources money? If so, I believe it's about $1,100 per year, unless it has gone up in the last year or so. It is also based on your income, so you would have gotten notification as to what percentage you are to pay. I am not sure what the rate is per hour mybe $8.00. Are you in Cuyahoga county? I could look up the person's name that you could contact. Lauriespeedingkiwi <devorahhoffman@...> wrote: Hi all,Does anybody happen to know how fast your

part C money gets used up if you have respite care coming in? We've been given 8 hours a week "until the money runs out" and I'm trying to figure out how fast that will be but nobody seems to know. The caregiver who comes says there's usually no warning, she usually just gets a call saying "the money's gone, don't go anymore." If I knew the rate was $15, $20 an hour I could at least have a rough idea...Thanks for any information...

Yes we're in Cuyahoga county! We were told $1500 but who

knows...You're right, it's the Family Resource program. If you have

any idea of who to contact I would greatly appreciate it!

Do you have a Support Administrator?speedingkiwi <devorahhoffman@...> wrote: Yes we're in Cuyahoga county! We were told $1500 but who knows...You're right, it's the Family Resource program. I'm not sure what a Support Administrator is...We have a service

coordinator through Help Me Grow because he's under age 3. She's very

responsive to us but doesn't know the county system real well, and

it's hard to get information out of the county because they tell me I

have to go through Help Me Grow. It's a crazy system (imho)...One

agency is supposed to be coordinating services from another agency

whose programs they're not going to know. Our developmental

specialist from the county knows a lot, but she's on vacation and

I've been torturing her a lot lately with various questions anyway.

The last information I have is from '05, but it is a place to start. The manager of Family Supports is McIvor and her number is 216-736-8386 and the Respite Coordinator is Sharon Dwertman and her number is 216-736-2692. I would start with Sharon, then call if needed. Things have changed so much in that last few years with Early Intervention. It seems more confusing now than ever. I think the intention was to give families more choices, but it really is the opposite--families are not informed of what services are available and/or they should be getting for their kids. Therefore, precious time is being wasted doing the waiting game.
