Guest guest
Hot Wing Sauce Cook the wings till nice and crispy, let them sit for 1 min, then dip in sauce and serve. Wow, Im going to get some wings for tonight. Make sure the chicken is SCD legal, Wash and cut up chicken parts in water and white vinegar bath, pat them dry and put them into the fridge till ready to fry. If you are new to the diet you might want to go easy on the fried food, I have baked them, they come out OK but not the same as Deep Fried. 1/2 Cup Honey 1/2 Cup White Vinegar 1 Stickof Butter 2 Tablespoons salt 2 Cups Tomato Juice (Pre Reduced) 2 Tablespoons Tabbasco Sauce Lou KitCabSource@... Rib Barbecue Sauce Bring 8 Cups of tomato juice to a boil, reduce heat to a simmer for 1 to 2 hours. No Lid. Stir often. I measure the depth with a mixing stick and mark a 50% line. End up with 4 cups. 3 Racks of Ribs (18-21”) Boil cut up ribs in water for 35 to 45 Min or till fully cooked. Some like the meat to fall of the bone, I like the meat to stay on the bone. Drain water and let cool. 8Tbs Olive Oil 1 Large Onion in Food Processor to an apple sauce paste 3/4 Tsp Tabasco Sauce 4 Cups of Pre- Reduced by 50%Tomato Juice 1 ½ Cups of Honey 4 Tbs of White Vinegar 2 Tbs Salt 6 Cracks of Pepper Pre heat oven to 375 Broil, In a Medium size pot, Sauté Onions in oil till golden brown, Add the rest of the list, cook for another 10 to 15 Min. Dip the ribs in the sauce very well and lay with spacing on a foiled tray. You will need two trays. Place tray in oven, make sure to rotate the trays and baste if necessary. Once the one side is done flip all ribs one at a time remember to keep the spacing. Remember to rotate trays. Get a lot on napkins!!!! Note: I also have used homemade Tomato Sauce instead of Tomato Juice Please make sure all items are SCD legal. Lou KitCabSource@... NOTE: About my "SCD Compliant Restaurant". It's alsoan ingredient in the garam masala. The garam masala is an Indian mix, along the lines of a curry and isgreat on meat and vegetables. When you cook with this, the food getseven better as leftovers because the spices have move time to minglewith the food. The savory pepper blend is great on about anything from vegetables andmeat to eggs. It might really help to relieve the need for salt if it went into the sauce, so I will put it there next time.1. Combine all filling ingredients, knead and stuff the peppers.2. In a large pot, saute onions in butter; add other sauce ingredients. Bring to a boil as you are stuffing the peppers.3. To cook: Either cook in large covered pot, with sauce, on low for 1-2 hours, until meat is done, or bake at 350 F in large oven pan, with sauce poured over, for same amount of time. The oven method works better for me, as the meat gets cooked through better. Start checking for doneness after about 1 1/4 hours. If you want the added butter, add it now. Skillet fried chicken: Over medium heat in a heavy skillet (like cast iron) add enough oil to make it about 1/4 inch deep add salt, pepper and cumin to each side of the chicken; boneless skinless thighs fry them in the skillet with the lid on turning occassionaly until done. You can dip them in an egg wash and coat them with almond or coconut flour. Either way is very yummy. Misty Kimble miztydawn@... Easy Tomato Sauce: 4 tomatoes diced, 1 onion diced, 4 garlic cloves diced (or to taste) handful of basil and oregeno chopped salt and pepper to taste. Coat your skillet with oil, cook the onion and garlic until onion are translucent. Add tomatoes and cook for about 20 mnutes stirring often and smooshing the tomatoes as you stir. After 20 minutes, add the basil and oregeno and cook for at least 10 more minutes. Eat it chunky or blend it to make it smooth (I have and immersion blender that works great for this).
