Hi all,

I was initially going to ask for recommendations for a developmental

pediatrician because I'd like to have an established relationship with

someone who can provide a medical doctor diagnosis if need be - in case

the evaluations from psychologists aren't sufficient for services one

day.

Then it occurred to me - some people have pediatric neurologists

instead...What in general is the benefit/lack thereof, does anybody

know?

My boy is 19 months, has social and speech delays, sometimes hard to

get eye contact with him, has no perseverative behaviors. " Working

diagnosis " is PDD-NOS.

Eager for any input from this experienced group!!! Which type of dr.

might be better for which situation, and specific recommendations of

drs in or near the eastern suburbs of Cleveland.

That is a great question and one I can't specifically answer; however, I can highly recommend Dr. a Bauer at Cleveland Clinic. She is rare in that she is a physician with a terrific bedside manner. She works out of the clinic's rehab hospital on Buckeye in Cleveland. From: speedingkiwi <devorahhoffman@...>Subject: [ ] developmental pediatrician vs. pediatric neurologist and any recommendations Date: Wednesday, July 2, 2008, 8:52 PM
