Guest guest Posted September 24, 2008 Report Share Posted September 24, 2008 Several People were asking for Sardine Reicpes CURRY SARDINES IN TOMATO SAUCE1/2 c. chopped green peppers1 sliced onion1 bunch chopped scallions1 c. sliced mushrooms1 sm. squash, sliced8 oz. of SCD tomato sauce 2-3 cans sardines Sue's crackersSaute the above vegetables in a medium saucepan or wok using oil or butteruntil it browns slightly. Afterwards remove from pan and let sit in bowl. Heat tomato sauce in the same saucepan. Add to sauce 2-3 cans of sardines in red hot sauce. (Spread gently across pan without breaking.) Allowto simmer. Add sauteed vegetables back into saucepan. Season with curry powder to taste. Simmer 6-10 minutes. Serve over your favorite Sue's crackers http://uclbs.org/recipes/bmc/suecrackers.php HOLIDAY SARDINE SPREAD2 (3 3/4 oz.) cans sardines in oil, drained4 oz. SCD cream cheese 1/2 c. chopped celery1/4 c. chopped red onion3 tbsp. chopped fresh dill or 1 tbsp dried dill weed3 tbsp. prepared SCD horseradish2 tbsp. prepared Dijan mustardSue's crackersIn medium mixing bowl, combine sardines, cheese, celery, onion, dill, horseradish and mustard. Mix to blend thoroughly. Refrigerate, covered, up to 2 days. To serve, mound in bowl or in seeded, halved red and/or green bell pepper.
