Guest guest
Please contact Trisha at phone number below with more questions. “Sam” is a 12 year old African American male of small build. He is energetic, and very friendly and affectionate. He enjoys swinging, playing basketball, and playing handshake games. He is diagnosed with child disintegrative disorder, meaning at a young age he began to lose previously acquired skills, such as social skills and expressive language. His behavior is very similar to individuals diagnosed with autism. “Sam” does not communicate verbally, but can understand what others are saying (receptive language). He uses a picture exchange system to express wants and needs and minimal sign language. He attends to his hygiene and uses the restroom appropriately. Staff whom care for him currently report he is “one of their favorite”. He is not aggressive, but playful at times. He loves to play “chase”, so supervision outside is needed as he is not attuned to dangers in his surroundings at times. “Sam” attends an alternative school, which is very structured. He does well in this school setting despite working at a lower level than expected for his age. He is linked with MR/DD services. “Sam” is in need of a loving and nurturing home. He has a lot of therapeutic supports involved in his life at this time, but needs a home environment and a family to care for him. Please feel free to contact me at 216 313 6156 for more information on how to be of assistance. Sincerely, Trisha
