I got this email from Holly Palda, Shaker Heights Parent Mentor about an event to take place at the Shaker Family Center on October 22 at 6:15 pm - 8 pm This event is a parent to parent panel discussion entitled "I Wish I Knew Then What I Know Now," Parents will hear from other parents of children with special needs who will share their insights as parents who have been through the early years of raising a child with a disability. The panel will include a parent of twins with cerebral palsy, a parent with 3 elementary age children on the autism spectrum and the parent of a young adult with disabilities who has just completed graduate school! This event is part of new program for families who have preschoolers with disabilities. A light dinner and child care will be provided. Program is free. See attached for details.
