Guest guest
, Curious if its true that Autism Speaks paid $70,000 for a private jet for Adam Sandler to be included in the night of stars events. Also, curious to know how much of the boat loads of money Autism Speaks raises actually goes to research. I've seen the six figure salaries of people who work there and that's not really where I'd like my donations going ... perhaps you could enlighten me. Guest guest
Well this is one of the reasons I was not to upset when they did not help us with our walk! At least we know where our money will go! > > > > *Columbus** Walk Now for Autism ~ Fall 2008* > > > > Autism Speaks is coming to Columbus!!! > > > > The nation's leading autism organization, Autism Speaks is very > excited to > > be coming to your community! > > > > We are working to confirm a date this fall at Ohio State University > for the > > inaugural Columbus Walk Now for Autism event. Guest guest
At TJ Maxx, I was asked at checkout if I'd like to donate to Autism Speaks and told the woman I have an autistic daughter and that's not the place I'd like to donate to. The Autism Research Institute, however, is worth our donating (if we have anything left after taking care of our kids!). Francine How could anyone ever tell You You were anything less than beautiful? How could anyone ever tell You You were less than Soul? How could anyone fail to notice that your loving is a miracle; How deeply You're connected to the Whole. Thanks to Libby Roderick and Guidance Re: Fwd: Walk Now for Autism Meeting Reminder , Curious if its true that Autism Speaks paid $70,000 for a private jet for Adam Sandler to be included in the night of stars events. Guest guest
These are questions that need to directed to Autism Speaks. If anyone does look into it, please pass the information on. I will say this - the Walk truly raises awareness in the community. That is first and foremost. We need to raise awareness help educate people on autism. This Walk is going to be amazing since it is being co-chaired by the President of The Ohio State University. We can really bring a lot of attention to autism and the needs of the community.
