In need of an advocate

Hi everyone,

We are in need of a parent advocate, at this point more for advice then anything

else but would like to be prepared if we reach a point of needing them for other

assistance.  Does anyone in the group know of a good advocate or spl ed.

attorney?  Our son has a threefold diagnosis, autism being part of the mix.  If

anyone knows of anyone and would be willing to share we would most greatly

appreciate it.

ODE provides parent advocates. I believe the one who helped me was Lyke. It was an 800 number. I will try to find it. She was most helpful with information booklets and info on the phone. I didn't need further help, but I understand they were there if I did.

I've used too but thru ocecd

The thing about them though is its more about training you to be an advocate for your child,as they cant always attend meetings with you
