Guest guest
That would be terrific with me if Jann and I could team up! Jann drop me a line at email.barb@... and we'll see what we can cook up :-) Or if you're coming to the Northend Soup Nite, or the slumber party we can figure it out then. Jessie, congratulations on selling your house! I hope your new house comes with NEW appliances. Did you ever get the refrigerator door without a dent delivered? I guess it doesn't matter anymore anyway if you aren't taking it with you. Barb F.

Guest guest
Norma, Thank you for your fine invitation. I've received at least 25 emails offering to volunteer. At least 3/4 of them expressed the same feelings of the Bash being a " turning point " , " surgery decision maker " or a " rejuvenation period in their lives " . The key slots have been filled. What I'm going to need in the near future is someone who is interested in doing PR work/PR coordinator for the Wa. Area and one who is interested in getting the word out in the Oregon Area.In addition I need someone who knows how to handle Audio. Preferably someone who has Audio Equipment so we don't have to pay for it. I also need(YEAH!-The every year request)someone who can loan us a data point projector. The Bash Web site should be up in the next week including information on the event and how to register. Thanks to all who have volunteered to help, Joanne in Seattle. > To Joanne and the Seattle Splash/Bash > > My name is Norma. I live in Kent Washington and I was banded 3/28/05 in Olympia. The Seattle Splash last year was my first real introduction to the AGB and it was the turning point for my getting the surgery. In my history, I have coordinated and set up meetings, and arranged for speakers for large numbers of physicians, nurse practitioners, and nurses in the Greater Seattle Area. > > I'd be happy to volunteer. Guest guest
Suppliers can be found through the list here http://www.needymeds.com/drug_list.taf (i found this website in our database). Someone would need to note the maker and then look up their website for address and information on where to submit sponsorships too or their marketing person's information. It also might be worth it to go through the drug assistance programs listed on the site above to see what they might be willing to sponsor. I am working on something else for the Foundation right now so don't have the time to do this. If nobody gets it done by the time I am done with the other project, I can make the list. Someone will need to be working on the form letter and I am happy to proof it and spruce it up if need be. Guest guest
Cat, Grants are ususally given to fund a specific program or project. Aside from sponsoring conferences, what are some programs the Foundation would like to get started. In the University Library there is a book of grant makers that contains thousands of listings divided by program type and funding need. The first thing one would need is a wish list of preferred projects. From that one can identify opportunities for funding. The Foundation would then need to choose a specific funding opportunity, write a program and business plan and then submitt the plans to the appropriate sources. Can a member of the board provide a wish list of say 10 - 15 projects to begin the search with? In the mean time I will get the title, author, ISBN, etc... of the Grants book and post it.
