Medina County - SHC/Arc of Medina Offering FREE RIDE to Legislative 3/31-4/1/09!

Hi everyone,

My husband Steve and I are attending the March 31st event in Columbus. I went

two years ago and learned so much. This year we didn't think we could be able

to afford going (taking off work, gas, food, etc.) - BUT since Medina County is

offering FREE transportation up and back for both days we can!! We can only

make the March 31st day this year. For parents and persons with disabilities

the event is FREE (March 31 includes all food & chance to meet your

representatives during a cocktail party).

If you are in Medina county and interested in going - please contact Sharon

Biggins at the below information. You still need to register separately with

the Arc of Ohio on their website. I don't know how many seats are still

available.

Space is very limited. They are providing transportation up and back each of

the two days of the " The Voice of One – The Power of Many " – Disability Public

Policy Legislative Event and Rally March 31 – April 1, 2009.

This is a FREE event for persons with disabilities and their families held in

Columbus. Please view the agenda for both days on the Arc of Ohio's website

REGISTRATION to the event IS REQUIRED for March 31st - (see online registration

at the Arc of Ohio's website).

REGISTRATION for transportation IS REQUIRED – First come/First serve – by

contacting Sharon Biggins, SHC Family Support Services Coordinator at

330-722-1900.
