Guest guest Posted February 23, 2009 Report Share Posted February 23, 2009 Dear Conference Participant,The Ohio Center for Autism and Low Incidence (OCALI) is pleased to announce the2009 Autism and Low Incidence Disabilities Conference and Exposition, November18-19, 2009, at the Greater Columbus Convention Center, Columbus, OH.OCALI has hosted autism and low incidence disabilities conferences since itsinception in 2005, and for 20 years prior when it was known as ORCLISH (OhioResource Center for Low Incidence and Severely Handicapped). Over the past twoyears, OCALI, as a member of ASA¢s Network of Autism Training and TechnicalAssistance Programs (NATTAP) organization, has taken the lead in hosting theNATTAP Conference. We are honored to have been a part of this work, and lookforward to a continued role as a partner on future NATTAP initiatives andactivities.OCALI¢s mission is to build state- and system-wide capacity to improveoutcomes for individuals with autism and low incidence disabilities throughleadership, training and professional development, technical assistance,collaboration, and technology. The 2009 OCALI Conference will help advance thismission by focusing on improving programs, implementation, support and overalloutcomes for those with ASD and low incidence disabilities (such as hearingimpairments, visual impairments, Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), orthopedicimpairments etc.). Conference participants will have the opportunity toexperience high-quality professional development and networking opportunitieswith peers and leaders in the areas of education, interagency collaboration andcontinuum of services.We¢ve built a strong platform at OCALI, and are excited and honored tocontinue our work on effecting system-wide improvements in Ohio, across thenation and the globe in both ASD and low incidence disabilities.More information about the 2009 OCALI Conference and Exposition will bereleased soon.
