Guest guest
http://www.latimes.com/business/la-fi-thrift2-2009jan02,0,2083247.storyHas anyone heard this a new law will be going into effect in Febuary banning the sale of used childrens items that have not been tested for lead. Which small second hand stores will be going out of business. This is good that they are trying to protect our children but our econonmy is already shaky dring these small businessesout will not help. There is a petition to sign to get this law changed to adjust it to help these businesses stay afloat. Youtube video that sums up this law very well:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bUlY6zOMPqQ & feature=related http://www.change.org/ideas/view/save_handmade_toys_from_the_cpsiaAccording to change.org:"The top 10 ideas are going to be presented to the Obama Administration on Inauguration Day and will be supported by a national lobbying campaign run by Change.org, MySpace, and more than a dozen leading nonprofits after the Inauguration. So each idea has a real chance at becoming policy." http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/economicimpactsofCPSIA/ Jo Anne
