My name is Crickett Brown. My husband, Mike, & I have one daughter to this

point. Her name is and she just turned 14 m.o. March 2nd. I am a SAHM who

helps run the Internet-related business my husband started. Since our business

does not support us fully yet, my husband does have a regular 40-hour-a-week job

as a computer programmer in PowerBuilder.

We moved from Orlando, FL (where my husband & I both lived our whole lives) to

Raleigh, NC this past July.

Right before our daughter was born, a friend gave us some information on

vaccinations and how they are not necessary due to the fact the way our bodies'

natural defenses work. I discussed this with my pediatrician in Orlando and, of

course, he said that isn't true, the occurrences of the diseases have gone way

down due to the vaccinations, yada, yada... Unfortunately, I didn't research

vaccinations any further and my husband wasn't encouraging in this area, so we

did start our daughter's shots. However, I just couldn't continue them, so the

last set she had was the 6-month set (which were given when she was 8 months

old). Thank goodness she hasn't had any side effects to this point!!

So, that's where I'm at. I've just started looking into the research of not

vaccinating. I have not had to address this with our current pediatrician, but

the time is coming so I want to be as prepared as possible.

I look forward to joining this discussion.

Crickett
