Guest guest
Hi, sorry it's taken me a while to introduce myself. I don't really get a lot of time to get on-line and am stretched pretty thin as it is. It's been less than two weeks since I signed up and already 195 messages waiting in my box!!! Wow! I guess I need to set aside a day somewhere to try and wade through them all and start checking at least every other day or something. So anyway, I'll take some time here and give everyone a good smattering of who I am and the personal beliefs I hold on the vaccination issue. I'm a mother of two young children in Texas. We don't vaccinate, nor plan to in the future. Most of this comes from on-going studies and medical research I've been carrying on in a few areas of interest for some years now, even long before having children. My personal notion is that vaccines *may* have a place in the face of extremes and epidemics, but are a naive choice in leu of a real solution. Vaccines can only buy time at most, time that should be used elsewise than creating more vaccines. They do not buy lifetime immunity, they do not fully activate the body's immune system and they are an altered form of the virus that the vaccine is intended to protect against. On top of all this, there is substantial evidence pointing to new and mutated viruses actually being created as a result of vaccine and antibiotic abuse as well as studies that have uncovered vaccines paving the way for viruses that have made the species jump to humans; viruses that humans would normally be immune to, but have been sythesized into forms that can now affect humans through the creation and/or contamination of vaccines. This doesn't even begin to touch on safety issues involving the effects of cocktail vaccination, permanent tissue damage, permanent/long-term auto-immune dysfunction, seizures or death, to name a few of the most severe reactions linked to vaccines; these involving the actual components of the virus contained and other components that go into creating the actual shot itself (i.e. mercury, etc.). I myself was nearly killed by vaccines as a child and luckily my parents were wise enough to stop at the first sign of trouble. A genetic predisposition going back 3 generations has manefested itself in my family, which makes us doubly wary and careful. In fact we have severe allergic reactions to *many* man-made medicinals in our family, passed on to each generation. I think it appropriate to point out that I am NOT a medical professional, so please don't misunderstand when you read what I do get around to saying. But I DO seek out bonified research materials, usually endorsed by " bonefied " medical personel, scientists, etc.. A debate with medical professionals of any sort will not go far if your only sources are from " alternative " schools of thought or if the arguments aren't clearly defined and/or backed-up in terms they can accept or respect. I'm one of those freaks who not only has a knack for, but *loves* research, hence my ongoing occupation or " hobby. " My ever continuing search for materials to fill my library and share with others has brought me to your table in hopes to glean anything I can that may provide further answers or leads in new directions. I believe the search must always continue where anything involving the human body is concerned, as that the body (as life for that matter) is so very multi-faceted, a place where 2+2 does not always =4. It has been a long and difficult road to find what I have so far. My hope is that by meeting others who may be farther in their search than I, or who have better/different sources or experience will help facilitate and speed my own work in this area. Perhaps someone will someday prove my beliefs to be haneously wrong; I don't believe so, but perhaps it could happen. Perhaps my own meager efforts will make a difference somewhere someday, perhaps. Either way it seems the " battle " has been taken up a few notches lately and we all need to be armed with as much hard knowledge as we can be. Power should be returned to the parents to feel confident in the knowledge that they *can* make sound and educated decisions about their children's health. The very personal choice to vaccinate belongs to parents and I believe no matter what we each believe, we must all work to preserve this basic right and freedom to *choose.* And those who do still decide to vaccinate, after having full disclosure of risks and education at their disposal, deserve the right to safer and higher quality vaccines and the right to question said safety and value issues. I think it's great to have a forum to share information, questions and ideas as well as support for parents who " stand out from the crowd. " Sometimes it can be a lonely world! I also think it's good to keep the communication and education flowing for the betterment of everyone. So thank you to all, in advance, for your information, efforts and the invitation to this list. I imagine I will play more of a backseat role to start as I " listen " and gather evidence and until I get a bearing on this list and time to say anything on my mind. (time - does anyone know what that is anymore?) With that I'll close. I look forward to getting to know you all... =====
