Camp Connect

Camp Connect is one of the largest recreation programs offered at Hattie Larlham. The camp brings typically developing children from area communities together with the children at Hattie Larlham. This integrated atmosphere creates social bonds that dispel myths about disabilities. Daily activities include disability awareness and inclusion lessons and educational games and programs.

This camp was designed for children with autism spectrum disorders or sensory processing issues. Trained staff facilitates social interaction through play and activities in a safe environment. Camp activities include structured cooking and music activities as well as a wealth of self-directed sensory and play activities. Staff ratios are determined by the needs individual camper.

Connect with Play is for children ages 4 to 10. There are Connect with Play camp sessions scheduled during winter and summer breaks, on in-service days as well as throughout the school year.
