Guest guest
Has anybody heard that 3 people who dies from the West Nile Virus, also received the flu vaccine a week before?? WEST NILE-LIKE VIRUS, AIRCRAFT SPRAYING: REQUEST FOR INFO ********************************************************* A ProMED post <http://www.healthnet.org/programs/promed.html> Date: Tue 19 Oct 1999 From: Jack Woodall <woodall@... This is a survey for reports of flights leaving New York recently that have been sprayed with insecticide after departure, to kill any mosquitoes that may have boarded there & could possibly be carrying West Nile-like virus. I was told Brazil has been requiring this since 1 Sep 1999, but it may have only been their national airlines, because a relative arrived here in Rio on Continental on 30 Sep & didn´t see any spraying. Of course, she may have been sleeping when it was done -- it was a night flight. Or it may have been done through the ventilation system rather than by a steward/ess walking through the cabin with an aerosol can. We also had an enquiry from New Zealand as to whether planes arriving there from NYC were sprayed. Please send any relevant information to me at my e-mail address below. Guest guest
Here on Long Island, the only death from West Nile Virus was a 74 yr old woman who was a severe diabetic, who was suffering many health problems due to her diabetes, was going blind and had lost the will to live for the last few years, (all this according to her son) because of her ill health. I am sorry that she died, but can't help but think she may not had much of a chance to survive even a cold or the flu in that condition!! Still, her children lamented, " why did'nt they spray sooner?? Guest guest
I totally agree ! I also think that is what was/is killing all the birds!! Notice how the virus was around for over a month but the birds didn't start dying until 2 weeks later, COINCIDING with the spraying. I wrote a letter to our county exec and just got a 3 page reply today about how they came to the action of spraying. If I wasn't so informed on my own of this crap, I may have actually have bought the crap he was handing me. I can see how others would!! Scary!
