Guest guest
One interesting point to consider...the children that died from chicken pox had other complications that were probably aggrivated by the chicken pox. So, it was most likely that their deaths were caused by other contributing factors. And, to immunize everyone for something that has such low death incidence with a vaccine that has yet to be long-term studied is crazy. Guest guest
To me, who only recently began really questioning vaccines, the Chicken Pox vaccine was a real eye opener. We all know that chicken pox is generally a mild children's disease, but now all of a sudden they're talking about this latest " killer " disease. I had a terrible bout with the chicken pox at 5. Very few pox but a fever of 104-105. I was delusional, hallucinating and just plain sick. My mother gave me daily baths, prayed and I was fine. Having been through this, there is no way I would even consider a vaccine for my small children. It does make me reconsider the " facts " on some of the other " killer " diseases, like Measles. Were they once considered a mild children's disease until the vaccine came along? Guest guest
Yes this amazes me too. When was due for the polio, I insisted on the inactive shot rather than the oral sugar cube. (Even though I was not aware of the vaccine issue, I had read this was safer in a child magazine.) The Doctor on duty was hostile to me. She said " Why the heck would you give a shot when you could get a sugar cube!! " I see two short years later that is what they now do in this office! I made sure I told the Ped. this when we were there after he told me to " be careful of the hype you read. " I cant help thinking that a little guardian Angel was with us! I prayed SO HARD every time my kids had a vaccine due! And that is when I thought I was doing the right thing.
