Guest guest
As far as the books try borders.com . I looked for the first book and it said it was available for shipping. But you don't know for sure until you try to order it I think. But their prices are almost the same as Amazon sometimes cheaper. Same shipping costs. I just order books from them online and they were great as far as service goes. As far as how people reacted... We only told my parents.. didnt tell my husband's family. We already were in disagreement on some minor things with them concerning our daughter. It is their only grandchild (and my husband is an only child) so we try not to upset things with them. My parents basically said it was our life and our decisions though she was kind of upset about it at first. She sometimes sounds like she is coming around a bit though it is hard to tell for sure. My one sister doesnt understand why we wouldnt vaccinate. She told our former family doctor that I had a baby and didnt vaccinate. Who apparently went into a hissy fit so I am told. I was kind of miffed that she took it on herself to tell her without my knowledge or permission. Oh well. People react how they want to. I figure what is most important is what you and your spouse think and how strongly you feel about it. No one else is going to take responsibility for your child or should for that matter except for you. Don't worry about sending too many emails or questions. That is what everyone is here for. Besides your question might be on someone else's mind but they never asked it. Guest guest
Dr. Wootan's book is available from him personally (New York telephone # under Wootan) or from some public libraries. Try New Atlantean books, I think at www.newatlantean.com for the others since they specialize in vaccinations books. Krista 2 more questions. I know, I promised they'd end soon! >From: " Dale & Swartz " <cdswartz@...> > >1) Does anyone know of a source for the following books: > >Take Charge of Your Child's Health: A Complete Guide to Recognizing >Symptoms... by Wootan and Verney (Amazon says the publisher is >out of stock) > >What About Immunizations? Guest guest
How did our family respond? Either they don't know (they don't know many of the details of our family life) or they know about Kaisha's severe reaction to DPT and don't ask. Ultimately, as in all parenting decisions, you are the parents, not your relatives and friends. Krista 2 more questions. Guest guest
, I was VERY lucky to have the total support of my entire family. In fact, my parents were extremely supportive and wanted to know all the information I had. Both my sisters decided to not vaccinate after my pioneer efforts. My husband's family, however, was not so supportive. My sister-in-law works for a Doctor and just couldn't accept our decision. Now, we just tell her that we did immunize and she never brings it up. I don't like being dishonest, but it is sometimes easier to avoid the confrontation when you know you won't win the " war " . Just my 2 cents.
