Guest guest
We are in MN so we couldn't get a bin and do the clay baths in a bin outside. I think that would be easier. We did it in the bath tub and the clay clumps and it clogs the drain. I tried to filter with " hair drain thing " .. but it was just a mess. It was really difficult to clean up and get off my son (2 1/2 yr old) in the shower. Overall, it felt like more work for that one bath than anything else we are doing. And, we do about everything! So, we may go back and try in the summer in a tub outside that could just be dumped. Hope that helps, jennifer Re: [ ] CLAY BATHS A mess in what way? > We've tried them once. It was a complete mess. Guest guest
I'd wonder about the purity, though too...perhaps the bath clay is more carefully filtered? Guest guest
The clays from a Ceramic supply are as pure as any dry clay will be. . . Professional potters insist on it. Too much time invested in their work to tolerate anything else. We use a gram scale when making clay or glaze to measure everything down to minute amounts. Depending on the formula, even a tiny amount of certain chemicals can ruin a glaze. For instance . . . some chemicals cause a glaze to become runny . . . Too much, and the glaze flows right off the pot, onto the kiln shelf, and into other pots. Argh! It's possible that the clays intended for detox baths have additional chemicals/minerals added. However, I suspect they are just repackaging the dry clays. The label should say if there are added chemicals. Hugs, Rogene

Guest guest
Hi Annie, It helps draw and pull toxins out of the body. have you ever done a facial mask that tightened over your skin? It really works. Here is a link you can look over. Beth Lakey gave us this link, and I found them to be trustworthy. I bought some clay from them..there is actually a large enough quantity to do many baths, and I'll be able to do facials for years! http://store./magneticclaybaths/ Patty > > > I recently got back into pottery and realized that > > > some of the clay bath materials (like Bentonite) can > > > be purchased at a ceramics (specializing in pottery > > > materials) supply store. Guest guest
Patty I used 100% clay kitty litter. It seemed to really work. I don't use it alot because of my herxing problem. I was told to get a specific kind. I read about it on a website for detoxing. It certainly was cheap! kathy > > I'd wonder about the purity, though too...perhaps the bath clay is > more carefully filtered? Guest guest
What does the kitty litter do? How do you use that? This herxing that you speak of, do you get better after you do this? Are you better now? Have you had your implants out yet? Sorry for so many questions I am just overwhelmed right now with information. Guest guest
Annie this kitty litter is 100% clay. Clay is used to draw toxins out of the body. It has a different charge than toxins so they are attracted to each other. I have heard that pascalite clay is very good, and also bentonite clay, but they can be very expensive. I took the kitty litter--called Kitty White kitty litter by MFM Industries--and put some in a blender on grind to get it in a very fine consistency. Then I put a cup or more in warm/hot bath water and soaked. I even packed it on me. One time I used it it completely took away muscle pain I had from climbing and walking around too much. Other times, it made me feel energetic. The herx is a reaction to the release of too many toxins. the clay causes toxins to be drawn out and it stirs up things. My herx started after the second time I used the clay. I felt initially great, followed by muscle twitches and tendon tightening and a bad headache and highly sensitive muscles in my neck and head and shoulders. So I backed off using it. Most people are not that sensitive. I have had similar reactions to just about every form of detoxification. Even if you have a herx, the treatment is still helping you. Sometimes, you just have to go slower, or if the herx isn't horrible, just put up with it until your body is able to get less toxic. I hope this helps your understanding a little bit! Guest guest
I used magneticclay.com because I wasn't sure where to start. They say they use pure clay and herbs that will help draw out toxins. All I know is after the second bath, my brain fog hasn't come back. Because the clay is so messy, I just do foot baths now. My last bath left me with a strong sense of weird smells, so I'm going to wait before I do another one. Also, I think I'm finally starting to see improvement in the muscle twitches. hugs, Beth > > > I recently got back into pottery and realized that > > > some of the clay bath materials (like Bentonite) can > > > be purchased at a ceramics (specializing in pottery > > > materials) supply store. Guest guest
Kathy I wonder how clay can get deeper toxins out of the body. I think Patty wrote that the toxins get stuck in the organs and fat.Can a surface mask get to that part of the body? Would that really work? Sorry I am just curious about this. Guest guest
-Beth that is great to hear that you are making progress with the muscle twitches. What do you attribute that to? Anything specific? How many clay baths did you do altogether? Hugs, kathy -- In , " bethlakey " <bethlakey@y...> wrote: > > I used magneticclay.com because I wasn't sure where to start. Guest guest
Are there any decent websites with details of what the clay baths are, how or where they are administered ie at home or in special clinic, where to get them and research into effectiveness? Cause there is one thing I would have no difficulty with and that is getting junior to roll in some mud - I currently have to hose him down before he comes in from the garden he literally covers himself in mud!!!! __________________________________________________
Guest guest
I've been on autism lists for about 3 years and I still have not seen any good reports re clay baths. Has anyone had results with these? Steve
Guest guest
Hi Steve We used clay baths, pretty much on the basis of " what the heck " , they were low cost and non-intrusive. We didn't really see anything one way or the other. They are a pain to clear up and they did dry my sons skin a lot. He wasn't very keen on them. Now we're 6 months into chelation, I may have another go just to use it up. If I do, I'll post any results - good, bad or indifferent. >From: " steve_rotherham " <steve.rotherham@...> >Reply-TreatingAutism-Biomedical >TreatingAutism-Biomedical >Subject: Re: clay baths >Date: Fri, 02 Sep 2005 12:20:29 -0000 > >I've been on autism lists for about 3 years and I still have not seen >any good reports re clay baths. > >Has anyone had results with these? > >Steve > > > _________________________________________________________________ It's fast, it's easy and it's free.
