Monarch School-Higher Functioning Autism?

Hi. We are trying desperately to find a placement for my daughter next year. The

public middle school or a behavioral school is not an option. We are in the

process of setting up a visit to Monarch. My child will be in the 7th grade. She

is very verbal, but has very poor receptive and pragmatic language skills. She

also gets overwhelmed in any kind of chaos, transitions, and if things are not

as she thought they were going to be. She will run if upset. Academically she is

on about sixth grade level in reading decoding, fourth grade in reading

comprehension and about second grade in Math.

Has anyone had any experience with older children placed at Monarch?
