Hello and Merry Meet!

My name is and I am a stay at home mom of 5 children. Ages range from 10

yrs old to 2 weeks old. We live in Connecticut and homeschool. We also have 2

dogs and 1 cat.

I am still sort of learning about vaccinces. My 4 oldest children have been

vaccinated. We had waited till our 3 child was older to have her shots done and

she faired much better. When our 4th child came I was thinking of not

vaccinating at all but due to a birth defect (cleft lip and alvelor ridge) I let

the doctors talk me into it seeing how he would be in he hospital having several

surgeries. He was a very healthy and chubby baby untill he started his

vaccinations and was then labled failure to thrive. I am still not sure if it

was the vaccines or food allergies he had that were getting threw my breastmilk.

Now I have a new baby and really do not want to vaccinate him at all. State law

required a PKU test which we did yesterday. At 's birth he was given drops

in his eyes that have caused him to get conjuntivites....My husband said the

nurse did the shot and drops so fast he had no time to say stop and feels awful.

I am suppose to go back to the doctor in 2 weeks and am not sure how to tell him

we are not going to vaccinate. My 5 yr old son didnt recieve the last set of

vaccinations he is suppose to have for school....since we homeschool I didnt see

the problem but we never went in for his 5 yr old check up either.

We stoped vaccinating our pets as well. My husbands dog became very sickly after

the last set of shots she had. I decided my puppy doesnt need them after picking

up a book called " The complete Herbal Handbook For The Dog and Cat " by tte

de Bairacli Levy.

I use herbs for my kids and we barely go into the doctors office to begin with

but having a newborn I am worried the doctor will not be to accepting with way

of dealing with things.

One of my favorite books is " how to raise a healthy child...in spite of your

doctor " by S Mendelsohn,MD. I really have learned a lot with this book.

I am not sure what else to say....I do look forward to learning from everyone.
