We are THRILLED to announce the creation of an Autism Speaks student chapter at The Ohio State University! We look forward to educating our peers, increasing awareness, and serving our local community. We have a very dedicated and passionate group of students who are truly committed to making a difference in our community. I am HONORED to work with this talented group of students.

GROUP: Group name: AutismSpeaksOSU Group home page: AutismSpeaksOSU

Group email: AutismSpeaksOSU

We intend for this group site to serve as a means for linking our local autism community with the endless sea of students here at Ohio State. This site will become a vehicle for which families can post want ads for therapists, as well as a means for us to communicate club announcements, including opportunities for research, courses, and conferences. Our goal for this student group is to maintain strong ties to our larger community and to truly foster a commitment to action and activism, in hopes of providing support to our community in need. The more students and community members that join our group site, the more we can accomplish. PLEASE HELP SPREAD THE WORD!

MISSION STATEMENT: Autism Speaks is dedicated to impacting the lives of those affected by autism through research, advocacy, family services and awareness efforts. These efforts are fueled by the passion of our volunteers, dedicated to making a difference in the lives of those affected by autism.

Autism SpeaksU is an initiative of Autism Speaks focused on engaging youth on college and university campuses and connecting them with the autism community. The team at Autism SpeaksU guides college students through the process of organizing and coordinating fundraising events on their campus to benefit Autism Speaks. By engaging college communities into a single, powerful voice for the autism community, we can continue to build awareness about autism and raise critical funds in the fight against this complex disorder.

Look forward to future communications and greater clarification as we fine tune our goals and objectives. Look for great things to come!

Sincerely, Jessie BeauvaisAutism Speaks OSU, Faculty Advisor _______________________Jessie Beauvais JessieBeauvais@...
