Guest guest
My child has been given a equipment benefit from the county, does anyone have a idea what equipment is available on the market that has been known to work/aid in learning? Thank you in advance.
Guest guest
Usually you can find out what type of equipment you need by having your child assessed by an Occuaptional or speech therapist. They will recommend what you're child will need for adaptive learning. Achievement centers for Children or Galvin and Associates are 2 places that I have experience with and I would recommend for assessing a child's adaptive learning needs. btw: I wish the county would make a guide book on all the approved benefits, equipment and therapies that people can apply for. I don't know what the secret is about. right now everyone has to call and then get switched to another department and then another department to find out if something would qualify to be covered by the county grants. (usually by then you'll get a message that someone's on vacation and to call back in a week or try another person who is covering for that department. oh the joy.... but hang in there.
