Guest guest
Several years ago I bought a Pro-Form Crosswalk GTX Treadmill and modified it to suit me (3'6 " diastrophic). It was really inexpensive and it has worked fine for me. I selected it because of the price and it appeared easy to modify (which it was using a hacksaw and a drill -- the way it was assembled made it easy to lower the console). It also had an upper body cross-country ski-pole style of arm exerciser which I just removed altogether. It required a slightly annoying procedure to get the speed and distance sensors calibrated but it has worked flawlessly ever since. There is a review of Pro-Form treadmills here: http://www.exercise-equipment-review.com/proform_treadmills.html The review links to a place that sells them, but it looks like the GTX model has been replaced with a GTS model. It looks somewhat different than the one I bought, so it looks like they may have updated the style. There is another model called the LX 360 that looks more like mine (minus the ski-poles), and for the same price as the GTS. Good luck. Guest guest
Hi everyone! I'm looking for a treadmill for my son who is 6 and on the spectrum. He has low muscule tone and not much stamina and is making steady improvements in both areas using a treadmill at his school. We're looking for someone who might have a treadmill that is collecting dust--or a parent or neighbor who might have one that is no longer being used as we simply cannot afford to buy one at this time. I know it's a tall order, but if anyone knows anyone who would like to donate a treadmill I can guarantee that we would put it to VERY GOOD USE and be forever grateful. Thanks, LBarano710@...**************Limited Time Offers: Save big on popular laptops at Dell (http://pr.atwola.com/promoclk/100126575x1221354145x1201369495/aol?redir=http:%2F%2Fad.doubleclick.net%2Fclk%3B215221161%3B37268813%3By)
Guest guest
Sorry, I can't offer one, But, have you checked freecycle? www.freecycle.org, there may be something there for you ... it wouldn't hurt to ask. Also, craigs list often has free things. Good luck, it does sound like a tall order, however .. the only way to find one is to put the word out "Problems cannot be solved by the same level of thinking that created them.†Albert Einstein In a message dated 6/4/2009 2:18:37 P.M.
